Thank you so much for the post!! I keep checking to see what's new and get your insight and...poor mother....there's been nothing for me to read for a while. I'm glad you are enjoying life up there, but I also miss seeing you as much as I did.

I listen to my iPod with regular Skull Candy ear buds, and just turn the volume down to where I can still hear traffic. It's easy to do with music, because it's just a background thing. Listening to books on tapes would be much tougher, I think. Listening to GA talks would be even worse, because the soporific delivery would lull you into a deep sleep mid-pedal stroke, and that can't be good.

I spoke with one of the girls I work with, she is an AVID bicycalist---I think that's spelled wrong---she does races just about every weekend. The most she would consider is using one ear piece, and then she would only do that if the traffic were very, very, very light, as in out in the sticks. She said it's too easy to get distracted listening to music and everyone knows that drivers are pretty impatient around bikes. You might check a bike shop, maybe there's something that has external speakers and can attach to the handlebars or frame and you can listen that way. Be careful. I don't want my baby boy getting hurt!!

I'm happy you had fun, Nealo! I've never been to Goblin Valley... at least I don't think I have. Let us know when you'll be going in the fall, it would be a fun trip. :)

I could send you a lot more pictures of the Valley of Goblins so you get a better idea of what it's like. It's probably a very good thing you were not with us this time. With Hans recently graduating with a geology degree, we hammered him with geology related questions, and some geology influenced questions. It got pretty annoying for him, but funny for us.

"Hans, what's that rock made out of?"

"Sandstone."

"Hans, what's that rock made out of?"

"Sandstone as well. They're all sandstone."

"Hey Hans, is that a limestone?"

"No. It's sandstone."

"Do they call it limestone because it's green?"

"It's not a limestone. It's sandstone!"

"Does it taste like lime?"

"AHHHH!!"

That's pretty much how it went. And I say that you wouldn't have enjoyed it because no doubt, similar questions would have been leveled your way. Especially concerning the ever elusive rock beaver.

"Wes, where can we find some rock beaver? What do they eat?" It would have been awesomely bad.

I agree with the movie review. I thought the ending felt a little tacked on, like they realized the movie had to end in a certain way to fit the rest of the Wolverine story. Also, the cool part about Wolverine is his fast healing. The movie made him feel bulletproof. I like it more in the X-men movies where they show him getting hurt, or knocked out by the bullet, but he just doesn't stay down for long.

Thats my 2 cents.
